Detail

Nur Sultan’s Central Park lies on the Left Bank of the Esil River, and – like the embankment path that lies on the right-hand side of the river and runs from Respublika Street to Saryarka – is a very pleasant place to take a walk in amongst many statues dotted through the park. Although a little jaded, Central Park has an aqua park, a zoo, roller-coasters, a ferries wheel and even a beach. In winter, dare to follow a local walking across the frozen river, and in summer hire an old but still floating paddle boat for a spot of exploring.

Nur Sultan Central Park has welcomed the addition of a new attraction recently. The Gammy Adventure Rope Park is the perfect place for adventurous kids and adults to have a great time while in Nur Sultan. Gammy Adventure Rope Park is home to several rope obstacles with different levels of difficulty so that people of all skill levels can enjoy the complex.

There are now four Gammy Adventure Rope Parks in the area, including two in Central Park, one in Zheruyik Park, and one for students near the Kazakhstan Sports Complex.

In addition to rope obstacles, the park also has features such as a trampoline with a safety net, “rock climbing,” and much more. While most people will visit here on their own personal time for some fun, the park is available for birthday parties, corporate events, entertainment programs, and other events.

While fun is the main idea behind this park, safety does come first. In addition to hiring staff that speak multiple languages, the park does provide staff with special training to ensure the safety of all riders. In addition, participants must wear all safety gear provided by the park and must follow all rules and guidelines.

There is only one place to go swimming in Central Park, and that is Lasker Pool, located mid-park between 106th and 108th Streets.

The pool is free and open daily (end of June to Labor Day) from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, & 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. It features both a wading pool and Olympic-sized pool for visitors to enjoy.

Free swimming lessons and lap swim programs, as well as free sunscreen are available. Since the pool is popular and busy during the summer, you must bring a lock to use on a locker in which you can store all of your belongings. The only items that are permitted poolside are a towel, shoes, book, and a water bottle.
